I'm Alexander Seleznyov, a software engineer by profession and a photographer by passion. Photography has healed me twice.

The first time was after my divorce. I was depressed, and I decided to make time for the things I love. I began hiking, the places I found kept overwhelming me, and at some point my phone just wasn't enough, so I bought a camera.

The second time came after October 7th. Through endless rounds of military reserve duty, and long after them, the camera was what kept me sane.

I've never been good at playing it safe. I've photographed in a minefield, climbed steep rocks in the rain and the dark, and caught pneumonia chasing a thunderstorm. Night skies, wild landscapes and cities in strange light are where I feel most at home.

The goal now is simple and a little crazy: to visit every country in the world and catch the beauty of its hidden places. This site is the map of that journey. Every country lit up on the globe is one I've walked through with a camera.
